Stanley 1-79-206 Modular Tool Box

This is a great product if, like me, you do not have a toolbox or you have multi boxes for your various sockets, spanners, bits, etc. I wanted something that would fit all my tool in and this hit all the buttons, 99% of my meagre, manual tool kit fits in as you can see in the image, there are 3 socket sets in the bottom drawer, picks and hex´s in the middle drawer and screwdrivers in the top drawer, in the top box there are 2 sets of spanners, 1 is a 6 to 32 set and not missing any out either, the second is a rachet spanner set not as big though and a bag of various pliers and grips. There´s room for more stuff in there too. The bottom pullout box has various hammers, 3 or 4 ´´bit´´ collections and an allen key set, plus gloves, sprays and other stuff. On the back is room for my torque wrench, small crowbar and a 2ft breaker bar, these are slotted into 2 cubbys and held tight with fixed in bungee tye elastic. So you can see that it fits a multitude of tools

Bad Points:
- There are 2 issues that i would like to see fixed, I had to have a replacement sent due to the 1st coming broken, this was a smashed, bottom front corner, this is a weak point as I have seen other reviews mentioning this too, they need strengthening during moulding, just make it thicker is all or a solid part.

The second issue is, if you have too much weight in the 2 tier drawers, the weight of it pulls on the top drawer locking catch, in turn realsing the catch and the draw slides open. The problem isn´t so much the weight, its more that the lid section of that top drawer is quite flimsy. if it was a few mm thicker, the issue would be resolved. Note, i do have 3 sockets sets in the bottom with various bars and extra sockets, a lot of the units weight right there, the top draw has various hexs´s and torque bits, not much weight there.

The third issue is, if the whole combined unit is too heavy it can press down on to the wheels, i think its the section between the wheels that´s pressing down making the wheels touch the bottom of the unit, maybe not too much of an issue, i do have about (est) 30kg maybe more in there. With that in mind, even wit item s removed to lessen the weight, the wheels are not suitable for gravel, too plasticy and the stones end up inside the wheels and then trails the stones behind once you leave the gravel.

These are mostly minor issues all in and its down to usage, its just what i have picked up on. Dont let it put you off this product, these are merely for Stanley to look into, less weight used and most issues gone
